Slavery has been around for over 5,000 years, it's time it comes to an end. The anti-slavery movement was the world's first human-rights campaign. Growing not from politicians, but from everyday people, it swept away legal slavery. In the early 20th century courageous campaigners, fighting both financial interests and governments, brought an end to the continuing slavery in places like the Congo. But still, theres over 45.8 million people today in modern slavery in 167 countries. Imbecilic people around the world think it is ok for modern slavery to continue because it brings them a lot of money. Modern slavery generates $150,000,000,000, for traffickers every year and is only rising. Imagine that after 5,000 years of slavery we commit ourselves to achieving its eradication in our lifetimes. Imagine that our generation will be the one that is looked back on in history as the generation that ended slavery. Imagine that children will grow up in a world where slavery is just seen as an ugly blot on our history. Imagine a world where every person is born in freedom and lives in liberty. Help put an end to slavery today by standing up.
